Uganda's President Calls for Industrial Action in Ankole

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged residents of Ntungamo District in Uganda’s Ankole region to contribute 300 acres of land for the construction of a factory that will produce industrial charcoal. During his visit, the president emphasized the importance of industrialization as part of his broader initiative to boost economic development.

Museveni highlighted his recent meeting with young industrialists from Abyssinia Industries in Jinja, where he learned about their steel product manufacturing efforts. One of the entrepreneurs shared insights into their operations, showcasing the potential for similar initiatives in Ankole. The president’s call for land donation is part of his ongoing tour to promote development projects across the country.
