In a significant shift within Uganda’s military hierarchy, Colonel Deo Akiiki has officially transferred his responsibilities as the Deputy Director of Defence Public Information to Major Bilal Katamba. This handover marks a new chapter in the defence sector, with Col. Akiiki moving on to serve as the Military Assistant to the Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
The transition ceremony was presided over by Major General Felix Kulayigye, the Director of Defence Public Information, underscoring the importance of this leadership change. This move reflects a strategic reshuffling within Uganda’s defence establishment, ensuring continuity and expertise in public information management.
