President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has officially commissioned the Kampala Flyover Project, marking a significant step in addressing the city’s traffic challenges and enhancing its urban infrastructure. The flyover, situated at the heart of Kampala’s Central Business District (CBD), is designed to alleviate congestion and improve road connectivity, thereby supporting economic activities in the region.
This project is part of a broader government initiative aimed at modernizing Uganda’s urban transport systems and fostering sustainable economic growth. By investing in such infrastructure, the government hopes to create a more efficient and livable environment for residents while attracting business investments.
During the commissioning ceremony, President Museveni emphasized the importance of discipline and cleanliness in maintaining the city’s newfound infrastructure. He called on Kampala’s residents to adopt responsible behavior to ensure the long-term success of the flyover and other urban developments.
The Kampala Flyover Project is expected to significantly reduce travel time for commuters, improve road safety, and enhance the overall efficiency of the city’s transportation network. This development underscores the government’s commitment to addressing urban challenges through strategic infrastructure investments.
