Ostrich Attacks Ex-UK Prime Minister’s Hand!

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson experienced an unexpected encounter with wildlife during a family outing in Texas, as captured in a video shared by his wife, Carrie Johnson. The incident, which occurred at an undisclosed wildlife park, involved an ostrich pecking at Johnson’s hand through an open car window while his young son, Wilfred, was seated beside him.
The video, posted to Instagram, shows the family observing animals from their vehicle when the ostrich approached and delivered a quick peck, prompting Johnson to quickly move the car forward. Carrie Johnson captioned the post, “Too funny not to share.”
Prior to the ostrich encounter, the Johnsons visited Dinosaur Valley State Park near Glen Rose, Texas, and were seen in videos observing deer and aoudad. Later in the day, the couple dined at Stumpy’s Lakeside Grill in Granbury, where staff shared a photo of their visit on Facebook, expressing their honor at hosting the former Prime Minister.
This isn’t the first time Johnson has been caught on camera in an amusing or unusual situation. Throughout his tenure as UK Prime Minister from 2019 to 2022, and even since leaving office, he’s become known for unplanned comedic moments, including a zipline mishap and an unexpected reference to Peppa Pig during a business meeting. While some might view these incidents as awkward, they often contribute to a perception of Johnson as a relatable, if unconventional, public figure. The Texas ostrich encounter seems to fit neatly into this established pattern, offering a lighthearted moment and a glimpse into the family’s personal time. It’s a reminder that even former world leaders are occasionally subject to the unpredictable nature of wildlife – and the ever-present lens of social media.
