European Right-Wing Leaders Rally Against Lenient Migration Policies
Right-wing leaders from across Europe gathered in Madrid, united under the banner of “Make Europe Great Again,” echoing US President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan. The event, organized by Patriots for Europe, brought together prominent conservative and right-wing figures, including Santiago Abascal (Vox party), Viktor Orban (Hungarian Prime Minister), and Marine Le Pen (National Rally).
The conference centered around the preservation of European cultural identity and traditional values, with speakers expressing concern over EU migration policies. They criticized what they deemed as excessive bureaucracy, globalism, and “woke” policies promoting diversity.
Abascal, drawing parallels to the historic Reconquista campaign against Muslim rule in medieval Spain, stated that Europe must stand united against Islamist influences. He vowed to fight against global dictatorship, including EU interference from Brussels. Similarly, Martin Helme of Estonia’s Conservative People’s Party emphasized the need for a new Reconquista, accusing global elites of trying to undermine Christian civilization.
Orban, a vocal critic of lenient migration policies, asserted that the replacement of Europe’s population is not a conspiracy theory but an ongoing practice. The Hungarian leader also celebrated Trump’s victory in the US as a significant defeat for liberal ideology.
The event underscored a growing trend among European conservatives and right-wing parties to collaborate and challenge EU policies on migration and globalism. As these groups gain momentum, their stance on these issues is set to play a significant role in upcoming regional elections and policy debates.
